📞 Call now: 07822 025 911DCI Leak Detection repairs swimming pool leaks across Cornwall and Devon: leaking underground pipework fixed by no-dig relining or targeted excavation, skimmer and fitting repairs, and pool equipment repairs and replacements. Every repair starts with pinpoint detection and ends with a re-test that proves the fix. Fixed pricing, no call-out fees.
Most leak detection companies hand you a report and wish you luck finding a contractor. We do the other half of the job too. After more than 30 years finding leaks across Cornwall and Devon, we repair what we find: the buried suction and return lines, the skimmers and fittings, and the plant-room equipment that keeps your pool running.
That matters with pools, because the trades that repair houses rarely touch pool hydraulics, and general pool maintenance firms rarely carry leak detection equipment. A pool leak sits in the gap between the two. Our swimming pool repair service closes that gap: one company, one fixed price, and one report covering what leaked, what we did about it and the re-test that proves it holds.
🔧 What we repair
Pool leaks come from a shortlist of culprits, and each needs a different fix. This is what we handle:
| Problem | The fix | Digging needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Leaking underground pipework (suction and return lines, skimmer lines, main drains) | No-dig pipe relining: epoxy coatings and resin liners pulled into place inside the existing pipe | Usually none |
| Collapsed or crushed pipe sections | Targeted excavation and replacement of the failed section, guided by pinpoint detection | One precise dig, not a trench hunt |
| Skimmers, return fittings and gaskets | Reseal, refit or replace the failed fitting | None |
| Pumps, filters and valves | Pool equipment repairs and replacements at the plant room | None |
The pattern to notice: most pool leaks do not need a digger. The buried pipe runs that cause so much worry can usually be repaired from the inside, and plenty of “pool leaks” turn out to be plant-room faults with straightforward fixes. Where excavation genuinely is the right answer, detection first means one precise hole rather than a dug-up pool surround.
🔍 Detection first, always
A repair is only as good as the diagnosis behind it. Every DCI pool repair starts with the same kit our pool leak detection surveys use: camera inspections inside the pipework, specialised pressure testing and vacuum testing to isolate the failing line, tracer gas, thermal imaging and acoustic equipment to put a mark on the ground above the fault.
That is why we will not quote blind for a repair. Guessing is how pools end up with three holes in the patio and the leak still running. Diagnose, fix, prove: in that order.
How a pool repair works with DCI
Pinpoint the fault
Camera inspection, pressure and vacuum testing, tracer gas, thermal and acoustics narrow the leak to an exact location, with the pool still full.
Agree the fix
We talk you through the options, plain English, one fixed price. No-dig relining where it suits, a targeted dig or fitting replacement where it does not.
Do the repair
Reline the pipe, replace the fitting or repair the equipment. Most jobs happen at the plant room and the pipe run, so the garden stays a garden.
Prove it holds
We re-test the repaired line with the same pressure and vacuum testing that found the fault, and the results go in your report.
🚫 Fixing pool pipes without digging
The repair that worries pool owners most is the buried one: a leaking suction or return line under the surround, the patio or the lawn. This is where relining earns its keep. Instead of excavating, we repair the pipe from the inside, either coating the pipe wall with epoxy or pulling a resin-saturated liner into place and curing it, which leaves a new, sealed pipe inside the old one.
It is the same no-dig thinking behind our underground leak detection work: the less you disturb, the less you reinstate, and the faster the pool is back in use. The full method, including when relining is the right call and when it is not, is on our dedicated pool pipe relining page.
⚙️ Pool equipment repairs and replacements
Not every “pool leak” is underground. Pump shaft seals weep, filter housings crack, multiport valves stick and let water slip away to waste. The plant room is the first place we look on any survey, and it is often where the fix happens too.
We repair pool plant where repair makes sense and replace it where it does not, and because we test the whole circuit afterwards, you know the new kit is not masking a second problem further down the line. If the equipment fault has been dumping water for months, the same visit can check the rest of the system before it becomes the next callout.
🏨 Pools that earn their keep
For holiday lets, hotels, campsites and holiday parks across Cornwall and Devon, a closed pool is lost bookings. We plan repair work around your season: out-of-season fixes before opening, or contained, low-disruption repairs mid-season when a problem cannot wait. Owners who manage remotely get photographs, findings and the re-test results directly, and our reports are insurance approved where the damage supports a claim. For problems beyond the pool itself, our commercial leak detection service covers the rest of the site.
One honest note on insurance: UK trace and access cover typically pays for finding the leak and making good the access damage, and not always the underlying repair itself. Check your wording, and use our report to support whatever your policy does cover. We will never promise a payout that is not ours to promise.
✅ One call, found and fixed
Stop patching symptoms and topping up. We pinpoint the leak, repair it and prove the fix held, all at a fixed price agreed before we start.

Frequently Asked Questions About Swimming Pool Repairs
Do you find the leak before you repair it?
Yes. Every repair starts with detection: camera inspections, pressure and vacuum testing, tracer gas, thermal imaging and acoustic equipment pinpoint the fault first, so the repair is one precise job. No Find, No Fee applies to residential detection (subject to terms).
Can you repair leaking pool pipes without digging?
Usually, yes. Small-bore pool pipework can often be relined from the inside using epoxy coatings or resin liners pulled into place, with no excavation. Where a pipe is collapsed or crushed, we say so and quote a targeted dig instead.
Do you repair pool pumps and filters?
Yes. We repair and replace pool plant equipment, including pumps, filters and valves. If a pool leak turns out to be a failing pump seal or filter housing, the fix happens at the plant room, not in the ground.
Will my pool need to be drained?
Usually not. Most pipework and plant-room repairs work on the pipe circuit rather than the pool itself, so the pool normally stays full. If a repair does need the level dropped, we tell you before any work starts.
Will insurance pay for the repair?
Many UK home policies include trace and access cover, which typically pays for finding the leak and making good the access damage. The underlying repair itself is not always covered, so check your policy wording. Our reports are insurance approved and support your claim.
How do I know the repair has worked?
We prove it. After the repair we re-test the line with the same pressure and vacuum testing used to find the fault, and the before-and-after results go in your written report.
How much does a swimming pool repair cost?
It depends on what is leaking, which is why we diagnose first. Once we know whether the fix is a relined pipe, a replaced fitting or new plant equipment, you get one fixed price before any work starts, with no call-out fee on top.
